Ronnie and Cheryl Mullis have a special call to minister to young people. In 1999 they incorporated Heavenly Acres in Screven, Georgia. Screven is a small Southeast Georgia town of about 2000, located near tobacco and onion growing farmland.
Young people around Screven were used to working hard and being outdoors, but they didn’t have many activities where they could be in a family Christian atmosphere and have fun too. Ronnie and Cheryl changed all that with Heavenly Acres. Adults, children and teens from around the South and even other parts of the United States and Canada participate in the Rodeo events at Heavenly Acres. The whole family can eat a great meal in their restaurant next door and then enjoy all the rodeo competition.
The best part about Heavenly Acres is the wholesome, family atmosphere where no alcohol is allowed and Cowboy Church services are held before every Rodeo. Along with the restaurant and Rodeo, local churches and families can book Birthday Parties and other events. They even have pony rides for the younger kids to enjoy. They have horse boarding services and fully equipped camp sites for those who want to come and visit for a while.
