Cowboy Church is conduct at Heavenly Acres in Screven before every rodeo on Friday and Saturday night.
Cowboy Church began in Texas in the 1980’s and spread nationwide. They are distinctly western in that they serve the ranchers, and rodeos usually in rural America. Many rodeo arenas have some form of cowboy church service as part of the culture. Lots of cowboy churches have sprung up in the last 15 years to meet the spiritual needs of the rodeo circuit.
Ronnie and Cheryl Mullis at Heavenly Acres believe that God can be worshiped at the rodeo and feel His leading to make sure He is. The whole rodeo at Heavenly Acres is for God’s glory.
